GTA Online has 700 missions

GTA Online logoThe development team at Rockstar North working on GTA Online says that the coming game mode will include 700 missions when it is launched, with the option for fans to create more if the initial batch is too small for them.

Leslie Benzies, director of Rockstar North, is quoted by GTA Forums as saying that when a player connects to GTA Online, missions will be selected randomly for him to populate the game world.

At the same time, a matchmaking process will select people for him to play with, based on the list of friends he has and the ranks of those already playing.

The difficulty level of a mission in GTA Online will depend on the ranks of those involved and players will need to communicate in order to perform well in the toughest of the bunch.

GTA Online will be launched on October 1 via a small patch for Grand Theft Auto V.
