Android 5.0 key Lime Pie to follow 4.2.2 Jelly Bean

Android logoAndroid 4.2.2 Jelly Bean might be the last flavor of the mobile operating system before the release of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

As many of you might already know, Google has been always careful with the wording related to its various Android releases, and this might be the main clue that a new major flavor of the platform is being prepared next.

At the moment, 4.2.2 Jelly Bean features the “latest version” tag next to it, the same as all other last iterations on various OS releases.

Of course, this might mean only that android-4.2.2_r1, which has just started to arrive on Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, and Nexus 10 devices, is just the latest Jelly Bean flavor at the moment, though HD Blog suggests that things might be different.
