Nearly 30% of computer users still choose Windows 7 over Windows 8

Windows 8 logoA survey conducted by Toluna QuickSurveys and published by Huffington Post reveals that 28 percent of all computer users still choose Windows 7 over Windows 8, in spite of Microsoft’s efforts to advertise its new operating system.

38.6 percent of the respondents said they are very likely or quite likely to upgrade to Windows 8, while 27.4 percent revealed they are quite or very unlikely not to deploy the new OS.

Sadly for Microsoft, 29.4 percent of the 2,000 people participating in the survey said they have absolutely no intention to make the move to Windows 8.

Analysts expect the recovery of the PC market to increase sales of the Windows 8 OS as well, but 48.8 percent of the respondents claim they do not plan to buy a new PC in the next year.
