ARM-powered Windows RT to run "Office 2013 RT"

Microsoft Office logoOn day two of Microsoft's TechEd conference in Orlando, the company gave a quick peek at Windows RT, the ARM variant of Windows 8, and an even quicker look at Office on ARM. Brief as it was—we just saw a static Excel window—it did reveal one thing: the version of Office will be named "Office 2013 RT."

Office 2013 RT includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, and will ship as an integral part of Windows RT.

So far little is known about Office 2013. A few screenshots of its user interface have leaked, and it's expected to include features to improve touch accessibility. However, while Windows 8 is now at the public Release Preview stage, Office is still only in the private Technical Preview stage, with a public beta promised for summer.
