Sony Ericsson reveals Xperia ICS update roadmap

Sony Ericsson logo Sony Ericsson's R&D center has obviously been making significant progress with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Xperia lineup, as the company is now ready to talk specific dates.

The update rollout for the second wave will begin from the end April or the start of May 2012. At that point the other seven Xperia smartphones eligible for an update will start getting in - Xperia arc, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo, Xperia mini and mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active. The only non-Xperia Sony Ericsson to get an ICS update, Live with Walkman will also join this second group.

And don't worry, Sony Ericsson will make sure that you will be properly notified when the time to update your phone comes.
