One of the most popular applications category is e-mail clients. There are MS Outlook and The Bat! in the list of the best-known clients. But both of them are not free. Mozilla Company that is so popular with its Firefox browser specializes on the freeware products. Continuing to develop the internet-applications it released its own mail client – Thunderbird.
Mozilla Thunderbird – is rather functional for its class (it can send and receive mail messages, can be used as RSS-reader, guaranties the mail security, supports virtual folders, gives the possibility to mark with color various categories of mail messages, has wide range of search variants and supports add-ons as Firefox does), but from the other side, it is not so good as shareware clients. However its functionality is enough for most of the users. Therewith the Thunderbird has one unquestionable advantage – it is cross-platform e-mail client.
The latest version is achieved index 6.0.1. It contains mostly bugfixes.
