Roger Capriotti, the Director for Internet Explorer Product Marketing, has revealed yesterday that the Release Candidate of Internet Explorer 9 has reached 2 million downloads in about a week after its roll-out for Windows 7 (32 and 64bit).
The RC is the first feature-complete public build of IE9 and it includes multiple updates over the betas which have recorded over 23 million downloads. The IE9 RC brings a Tracking Protection function which allows users to limit the information available to websites (for privacy reasons), Pinned Sites improvements, the ability to close tabs without highlighting them, geolocation capabilities, expanded web standard support and even higher performance.
The RC can be download now, from this page , and will be available to IE9 beta users through Windows Update later this month.
