7-Zip logo 7-Zip archiver – is one of the best known tools for data archiving. It was created by russian developer, Igor Pavlov. 7-Zip is very popular thanks to the high compression rate of its original 7z algorithm and other formats supporting. It is very important that it archiver is free and has user friendly interface. Of course file manager 7-Zip is not as fine and functional as WinRAR, WinACE, WinZIP and others, but for the majority of users a great value has the final compression rate then fine interface.

The final 9.20 version of 7-Zip was released the other day. It contains several bug fixes.
