OpenOffice.org – well known office pack with open code that is the free alternative for Microsoft Office. In the list of its functions there are the MS Office format support, PDF export support and others. OpenOffice.prg consists of the following components:
- Writer – great text editor, that is the alternative of well known MS Word;
- Calc – spreadsheet application, the MS Excel alternative;
- Impress – the application for presentations creation. PowerPoint is used for these purposes in the Microsoft Office;
- Base – off-line application for the DB creation, the analogue of the Microsoft Access;
- Draw – rather simple graphic application;
- Math - application for the formula settings.
There are a lot of modifications in the latest 3.2.1 release of the program: new interface, the speed stability increase and a lot of other corrections and new features.
