Sony Mobile games may be announced next month

Sony logoSony confirmed earlier this year that it had created a new studio called Forward Works and that the studio was tasked with bringing some of the most popular PlayStation games and IPs over to mobile platforms like iOS and Android. Sony is yet to confirm when its lineup of mobile games will be released but if a new report is to be believed, Sony mobile games might be announced early next month.

Takashi Mochizuki, a technology reporter with the Wall Street Journal, has tweeted that Sony is going to “announce software titles and partner companies” for its mobile games project on December 7th. He also mentioned that the rollout might initially be limited to the Japanese market.

Sony is yet to officially confirm this event but since we still have a couple of weeks to go, it’s possible that the official announcement might be made in the near future. It’s likely that Sony might only confirm the details about these games at the event, the actual release might take place at a later date.

No further details are available at this point in time about Sony’s first lineup of games meant just for mobile devices. Naturally, there’s a lot of interest in this and the company’s fans can’t wait to find out more about Sony’s mobile games project.
