Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ during an Unpacked event to be hosted on August 13 in New York. But according to the company’s latest teaser, the two devices might arrive alongside a third one.
We’ve been saying that device manufacturers have slowly started to cut back on launching new tablet models. Samsung rolled out the Galaxy Tab S2 AMOLED tablet duo not so long ago, but it did so pretty quietly. No major press event was set up for the occasion and the company just posted a press release announcing the devices.
But what if Samsung might be gearing up to provide us with an amazing tablet? The company’s latest Unpacked teaser does seem to suggest a tablet is coming (check the image attached to this post).
The image shows the shady outlines of two similarly-sized devices (the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+), plus another one with a larger form factor.
It’s quite possible that Samsung plans to include the recently announced Galaxy Tab S2 slates in its New York event, but on the other hand, maybe we’re going to see something more exciting.
What about a tablet with an edge display? Such a product might sound odd to some, but it doesn’t mean Samsung doesn’t have the necessary knowledge to actually build one.
