Text editors — are one of biggest-selling categories of the computer programs. And it is legalistically possible to divide into two large groups: word processors and editors of plain text. The first are such applications as Microsoft Word, OpenOffice.org Writer, Corel WordPerfect, AbiWord and many other — they serve for drafting of different documents.
Plain text — is such, which is not formatted. It as a rule is kept in ordinary text files. Such is used more frequent than all programmers, and in general useful, when it is necessary simply to carry essence without superfluous registration. For such text the best of all editors befit as though Notepad from Windows. However if to take into account the mentioned programmers, then is it is much useful to illuminate from beneath keywords. At this task the environment of development gets along well. But the environments of development are not always free of charge, and at times are too bulky, when only enough a minimum of possibilities.
For this purpose there are the programs, being on the level of the functionality between Notepad and by the valuable environment of development. So we not once wrote about the return of update versions UltraEdit. But this utility is requiring payment, that not always acceptable to the domestic user. There are a great number of free analogues. In particular Notepad++ in general falls into a category Open Source.
The other day Notepad++ version 5.4 was presented. The different corrections of errors and some new features are meant in the number of its changes.
