Alternative operating system Firefox OS 1.3 has been released by Mozilla to its smartphone partners. Key among the improvements in the update are dual-SIM, dual-standby support, giving two lines on compatible phones. Also included are improvements to the camera, including continuous autofocus in addition to flash support.
Firefox OS is a Linux kernel-based, open-source operating system for devices, including phones and tablets. It is being developed by Mozilla, the non-profit organization best known for the Firefox web browser.
Other fixes include faster scrolling and app startup; adaptive search; support for RTSP, asm.js and WebGL; smart collections, and music controls from the lock screen.
