Mozilla Firefox 26 is now available for Download

Mozilla Firefox logoThe final packages of the Mozilla Firefox 26.0 web browser are now available for download for all supported platforms, including Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS X, ahead of the official announcement.

While Mozilla prepares for the official announcement of the 26th release of the extremely popular Mozilla Firefox web browser, you can download the final version right now (click the download link for your platform at the end of the article) from the official Mozilla FTP servers.

Among the changes brought by Mozilla Firefox 26.0, we can mention support for the H.264 video format on Linux systems, support for MP3 decoding on Windows XP, social bookmarking support added to the Social API, support for script-generated password fields on the Password Manager, implemented “click to play” functionality on all plugins, and Windows users can now perform updates without write permissions to the Firefox install directory.

Moreover, support for the CSS image orientation property has been added, page load times have been improved as images that aren't visible are no longer decoded, a prompt will no longer appear when websites use appcache, and the CSP implementation now supports multiple policies.
