Nokia has launched its rumored successor to the Lumia 520, its popular Windows Phone smartphone. The Lumia 525 is relatively unchanged from the Lumia 520 for the most part, with it sharing a similar design and internals, though the original's 512MB of RAM has been upgraded to 1GB, which will certainly help performance in apps.
The four-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 480x800 is backed by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 clocked at 1GHz, with 8GB of expandable storage and 7GB of cloud-based storage. Its 1,430mAh battery is said to have a video playback time of 5.9 hours and 48 hours of music playback, while connectivity is covered by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and 2G and 3G. On the back is a five-megapixel camera with autofocus, but no flash.
Though details of regional launches are unknown, the Lumia 525 will be going on sale in Singapore first from December 14th, priced at SG$249 ($199).
