Samsung is rumored to be working directly with Google to build a device similar to Google Glass. In a tweet posted by Eldar Murtazin, described by CNET as an analyst and "occasional leaker" with sources at Samsung, the product is said to be called the Gear Glass.
Although the Twitter post does not directly note that such a product is being designed with help from Google, the "Glass" branding has been interpreted as evidence of collaboration between both companies. Alternatively, even if the leak is generally accurate, the rumored name could simply serve as an internal code-name.
Google is still in the trial and development stages for its own Glass hardware, which is expected to arrive as a final product sometime next year. The Samsung leak suggests the Korean company is aiming to unveil its competing device sometime between April or May.
