Next Nokia flagship smartphone to have 41 megapixel camera

Nokia logoNokia smartphones are known for their impeccable cameras. The Finnish manufacturer is reportedly working on a smartphone that will have a whopping 41 megapixel camera, a feat previously achieved on the 808 Pureview. Details about this imaging flagship device have been shared by a source familiar with Nokia’s plans, claiming that two different models of EOS are being tested currently. Specifications are reportedly the same, the only difference will be either a dualcore or a quadcore processor. The final device might come with a dualcore one since the quadcore processor is proving to be a bit much for the battery.

The EOS smartphone will reportedly have the same battery as Lumia 920, that being 2,000 mAh, as well as the same screen resolution of 1,280 x 768 pixels but the display will be AMOLED. The 41 megapixel camera on the back will be accompanied by a Xenon and LED flash, OIS and probably a Variable Aperture lens as well. The Nokia EOS smartphone will reportedly be an AT&T exclusive at first, it will be globally released some 1-3 months after that. It is also said to have a FM transmitter and a detailed camera UI similar to that of the 808.
