Samsung is to announce the Galaxy S IV on March 15, according to a new rumor providing seemingly more accurate information. The electronic giant will apparently unveil the follow-up to the Galaxy S III at one of its Unpacked events, the location of which is currently unknown. The report goes on to claim that Samsung will be putting the smartphone on sale in early April.
The new rumor comes from SamMobile, a site that has a decent track record in providing information on future devices. While previous rumors back in December gave an entire month's timeframe for the launch, the new information narrows the launch down to a specific date. A release date cannot be narrowed down as far, due to the way that carriers differ in their release schedules from market to market, though more could be revealed during or after Mobile World Congress.
Previous information for the Galaxy S IV suggests it will have a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 441ppi pixel density, powered by a quad-core Exynos 5440 processor, and will have a 13-megapixel rear camera and possibly an S Pen stylus.
