Gigabyte Unveils the P2742G 17-inch Gaming Laptop

Gigabyte logoGigabyte Technology is just about ready to roll out its first batch of Windows 8 products, notebooks and tablets running Microsoft's latest operating system. Among Gigabyte's offering is the P2742G, a gaming-oriented laptop which features a 17.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen, a 2.4 GHz Core i7-3630QM processor, 4/8 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 2 GB graphics card, and up to a 1 TB HDD or a 128/256 GB SSD.

The P2742G also has a DVD writer or Blu-ray combo drive, a 2.0-megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 9-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, D-Sub and HDMI outputs, and an 8-cell battery. No word yet on pricing.
