Ivy Bridge-Powered Lenovo IdeaPad Y480 Laptop Up for Order

NVIDIA logoLenovo's online shop is now selling an Ivy Bridge-based laptop that promises to offer an "unbeatable entertainment and gaming experience". The laptop in question is the IdeaPad Y480 which features a 14-inch (1366 x 768) LED-backlit display, an Intel 3rd generation Core processor (either the 2.4 GHz i3-2370M or 2.3 GHz i7-3610QM), up to 8 GB of RAM, up to a 1 TB HDD (and a 32 GB SSD), and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M graphics card with 1 GB or 2 GB of VRAM.

Lenovo's 14-inch mobile PC is 32.8 mm (1.3-inch) thick and also has a brushed-metal chassis, a backlit keyboard (optional), a 1.0-megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, JBL stereo speakers, a 6-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI output, and a 6-cell battery allowing up to 4 hours of use per charge.

The IdeaPad Y480 runs Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) and it starts at $849.
