Google Nexus tablet could cost $149?

Google logoWe’ve had plenty of rumors about the Google-Nexus tablet in the past, and today we’ve got one more. According to Androidandme.com’s source – a senior employee at a supply chain company based in the US that wished to remain anonymous, the Google Nexus tablet that was supposed to be based on the ASUS MeMo 370T has been scrapped. ASUS is reportedly still making the tablet, which will pack a 7″ display and won’t be powered by the quad-core Tegra 3 processor. This new tablet is also said to be priced at $149-199 – down from the previously rumored $199-249.

Other than that, the rest of the device is up for speculation, but it is said to be making an appearance at the CTIA Wireless show on May 8-10. Since it is a few months away, I guess there’s nothing we can do for now but sit and wait. What do you think the specs of Google’s Nexus tablet should be?
