After taking a three-year hiatus from Mobile World Congress, Nokia just revealed it will hold a press conference during the opening day of the show and have a booth presence there as well. The largest phone maker by volume didn't get into any other specifics, though it did say it will have an exhibit in the Apps Planet section. In years past, the company focused on its own Nokia World show instead.
Mobile World Congress, or MWC, kicks off on February 27 in Barcelona, Spain. Its focus is largely on connected devices such as cellphones and tablets. The event will play host to over 1,400 companies.
Nokia may use the event to show new entry-level Windows Phones using the new Tango update, which could be shown by Microsoft at the same event. When talking to Electronista, Nokia hinted at MWC launches without giving concrete details.
