NVIDIA's latest unreleased graphics card, the GeForce GTX 550 Ti, will arrive on March 15, VR-Zone maintains. It is based on the company's mainstream GF116 chipset which is curious why it hasn't followed its naming conventions and called it the GTS 550. Early estimates put performance at 35 percent higher than that of the current AMD Radeon HD 5770, or comparable to that of the GeForce GTX 460 series.
Leaked documents show the GF116 will have one out of the three 64-bit memory controllers disabled to create a 128-bit memory bus. The PCB will have 12 pads, though just eight will be populated for a total of 1GB of GDDR5 RAM. Apart from the 35 percent boost compared to the Radeon HD 5770 in DirectX 11, it will be 20 percent faster in DirectX 10.
Ожидается, что стоимость видеокарт на основе GPU GeForce GTX 550 Ti составит $200.
card will have two dual-link DVI-I ports and one mini HMDI output. It will be physically similar in terms of PCB design to the GeForce GTS 450. Its TDP is rated at 110W.
Prices aren't official, but expected to fall in at $200.
