Sony Ericsson is working on a new handset with Windows Phone 7, according to an unofficial Chinese report. The device, known by the codename Julie, will be similar in size to the Xperia X10, and may share its 4-inch capacitive touchscreen but add multi-touch support. Processing power is also said to come from a 1GHz dual-core CPU and the handset is said to have a sliding QWERTY form factor. The X10 runs on Android.
If the rumors are true, the device will have support for Xbox Live, as Microsoft announced a tie-in between its game console service and Windows Phone 7 at Mobile World Congress in February. A release date for the Julie remains unknown.
