Energizer Power Max P16K Pro smartphone arrives at MWC

Energizer logoEnergizer wants to make a big splash at MWC this year, and it's definitely going to achieve just that with the Power Max P16K Pro smartphone that it will unveil on that occasion.

The company is best known for its batteries, so it makes perfect sense that its next handset will have battery life as a huge focus. Keyword: huge. The Power Max P16K Pro sports a gargantuan 16,000 mAh battery.

That's four times bigger than what you would expect in this day and age in order to call a device one that comes with a big battery. The new Energizer will obliterate its competition in this area. And while it isn't powered by the Snapdragon 845 like some other products expected to become official at MWC, the Power Max P16K Pro is no slouch in other regards either.

It will have a 5.99" 2,160x1,080 touchscreen, and the MediaTek Helio P25 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On the back a dual camera system features 13 MP + 5 MP sensors, while for selfies you get an 8 MP snapper. Energizer promises "an ultra slim design" but with that battery capacity we doubt it can go under 10mm. The Power Max P16K Pro becomes fully official on Sunday, February 25.
