Microsoft reportedly designing new Xbox console

Microsoft logoMicrosoft launched the Xbox One back in 2013 and then followed it up with the Xbox One S last year. The company officially unveiled the Xbox One X a few weeks back and is due to release it in the fall this year. Word on the street is that Microsoft has now started designing a new Xbox console. It’s unclear whether this is a variant of the Xbox One or if it’s an entirely new Xbox console.

The Xbox One X is the most powerful console that Microsoft has ever made. It actually happens to be the most powerful gaming console launched so far. Microsoft hasn’t said anything about its future hardware plans at this point in time.

For all intents and purposes, the Xbox One X will be the last console it releases for the next few years at the very least. Word on the street is that Microsoft has started designing the next Xbox console.

It’s even said to have a codename which would suggest that work is pretty far along by now. What that codename is, though, hasn’t been revealed at this point in time.

Even if these rumors are taken at face value and we believe that Microsoft really is working on the next Xbox console, it’s not like the console will be released at any point in the near future.

These things take time and it’s believed that this console won’t be out in the next couple of years. Realistically speaking, the next Xbox might not hit the market before 2020 or even later than that.
