Rumored specs for the LG G5 surface, include SD-820 SoC and 21MP rear camera

LG logoA Weibo poster has revealed what he says are some of the specs for the LG G5. LG has released two high-end phones this year with the LG G4 and the LG V10, although the former is considered the flagship model. We suggest reading this with your cynical eye, and you should certainly take this information with the proverbial grain of salt.

According to the tipster, who goes by the name of Zealer, the LG G5 will feature a 5.6-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Snapdragon 820 SoC will be under the hood, containing a quad-core CPU, and the Adreno 530 GPU. There will be a 21MP camera on back, along with an 8MP front-facing camera. Previous rumors call for the LG G5 to employ an iris scanner.

The LG G5 is expected to be unveiled in February. That is the same month when Samsung is expected to take the wraps off of the Samsung Galaxy S7. In case you were wondering, the LG G4 was unveiled on April 28th of this year.
