Samsung may be preparing to launch a round-faced smartwatch in March, according to rumors. The alleged launch at Mobile World Congress may take place alongside the expected next installment in the Galaxy S flagship smartphone line, with the Galaxy S6 reportedly using glass on the rear as well as the front and a metal construction.
According to SamMobile, the smartwatch is codenamed Orbis and will introduce wireless charging to the Samsung smartwatch line for the first time. The watch will apparently feature a digital crown, similar to the Apple Watch, though it is also said to sport a rotating bezel ring, adding more interface options to the small round display.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 will be sporting a similar metallic construction to some recent releases, including the Galaxy A range, but with glass on both main faces and metal on the edges, reports Ddaily. Though less likely, it is also suggested by the report that Samsung is preparing two other models of the Galaxy S6 for launch, with a curved display touted alongside one with an extra side display in a similar manner to the Galaxy Note 4 Edge.
It is highly likely more rumors and leaks for both the smartwatch and the Galaxy S6 will surface in the month leading up to the Barcelona trade show.
