First Android Silver device to be manufactured by LG

LG logoevleaks recently revealed that the Google Nexus program will be canned, with no further Nexus devices to be announced. In its place, Google will be launching the Android Silver range of devices, which is expected in February 2015.

LG handset, running a Qualcomm MSM8994, to be among first Silver devices. Successor to the Nexus 6 initiative, expected on Sprint in the US.

Further details have now been provided by evleaks regarding the next Nexus phone. Previously expected to be the tentatively named Nexus 6, the successor to the Nexus 5 is said to be manufactured by LG once again.

The only other details known about this device as of now is that it will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC (one of the first devices with this chipset) and will be available on Sprint in the US.

Google I/O is set to take place a month from now. We'll have to wait and see if Google has any hardware related announcements to make during the event.
