Dell has announced a firm date and pricetag for a 28-inch 4K monitor it teased in December. The P2815Q will support resolutions up to 3840x2160, and ship for $699 on January 23. Other specifications aren't available, but Dell is promising the same performance as its recent 24- and 32-inch UltraSharp monitors.
The P2815Q's stand will support portrait mode and variable heights and angles. Accessory options will include items like a soundbar or a monitor arm.
Because of their higher resolution, 4K monitors require extra graphics power to support them. This limits their use to computers with more recent video cards, such as the latest MacBook Pros, or more advanced desktops.
